Exterior cleaning

Decks, patios and siding washed back to clean surface, no ladder needed

Pressure washing and exterior clean-up from David Hertzog's crew, matched to the surface in front of them, across Millsboro and Sussex County.

Chapter 01

What builds up on decks, concrete and siding

Algae, winter grime, mold, leaves and years of weather wear collect on decks, patios, siding and walkways. Left alone, they drag down the look of an otherwise well-kept property, and the wood and concrete underneath start to read as old before they are.

The reasons for a wash vary: getting the house ready to sell, recovering after a storm, or simply wanting a cleaner, safer exterior. Whichever it is, the front of the house is the first thing people see, so the details matter.

Pressure, nozzle and wand matched to each surface

Different surfaces take different treatment. The crew picks the pressure, nozzles and technique for the material, using appropriate PSI levels so siding, paint and trim are protected while the dirt still comes off. Concrete and paver patios, driveways, vinyl siding, wood or composite decks and fences, curbs and steps each get their own approach.

Elevated work does not mean ladders. Extension wands and proper safety techniques reach second-story siding and upper decks, and in most cases nobody climbs anything. David is also a Certified Techniseal Applicator, which makes pavers familiar ground.

Chapter 03

The small jobs that finish the wash

Around the big surfaces, the crew handles gutter area and downspout clearing, porch and stairwell sweeping, and cobweb and debris removal from exterior structures. Fences and retaining walls get a surface wash, and driveway and sidewalk cleaning rounds out the list.

Because the crew already looks after lawns across Millsboro and Sussex County, exterior cleaning can happen on the same visit, with no second contractor to coordinate. Once or twice a year suits most homes, especially after winter or through spring pollen season, while busy driveways may need more. Call David at (484) 332-5555. The estimate is free and carries no obligation.
